Be Me Hum: Breathe, Move, Hum, and Simply Be

Remember who you are

A woman in a lavender dress, arms open, hair and dress flowing in the breeze

A welcoming space for women to reconnect with themselves through breath, movement, humming and meditation.

Women’s wellbeing classes in Saratoga, Central Coast NSW.

Everything is already within the seed.
Everything is already within you.

Think of a tiny gum nut. Held within it is the potential to become a magnificent gum tree.

It does not need to search for its potential or prove its worth. It simply needs the right conditions to unfold into what it has always been capable of becoming.

Perhaps we are the same.

Beneath the busyness of everyday life, you already carry love, light, wisdom, strength, peace and so much more within you. Sometimes, all you need is time and space to feel it.

At Be Me Hum, we create a space to pause and reconnect with yourself through breath, movement, humming and chanting, so you can remember what has always been within you.

“For that time, all the roles I carry in my life seem to fall away.”

About Lisa

The Woman Behind the Hum

Lisa, founder of Be Me Hum, smiling warmly

For years, I searched for a practice that truly felt like me. I tried different classes, retreats and disciplines, and although I loved much of what I experienced, there was always something missing.

My training as a Kundalini Yoga teacher brought together so many things I loved - breath, movement, meditation, chanting and sound. But over time, I began to realise that I wanted something simpler, something that allowed me to just be myself.

“I’ve found it.”

I had no intention of creating anything new, but the universe had other ideas.

I’d wake around two in the morning with movements and ideas so clear in my mind that I’d get out of bed and try them. I began bringing these into my classes, gradually introducing more of my own movements and ideas.

“Something new was taking shape.”

The final piece was humming.

I discovered how something as simple as humming could bring breath, movement and stillness together. There were no words to remember, nothing to get right. Just the gentle vibration of my own voice.

And suddenly, everything came together.

“Humming didn’t begin Be Me Hum.
It completed it.”

Today, I share Be Me Hum with other women, creating a space where they can leave the outside world behind for a while, let go of expectations and simply be themselves.

My Mission

For most of my life, I believed I needed to become a better version of myself.

I read the books, attended the courses and searched for answers, always believing there was something more I needed to learn, change or become.

But eventually I came to understand something quite different.

I was never broken.

I didn’t need to become someone else.

I simply needed to remember who I was.

And that changed everything.

My mission is to share that understanding with other women. To create a space where there’s no comparison, no judgement and no expectation to be anything other than who you are.

A place to rediscover the love, strength, wisdom and peace that have always been within you.

Be Me Hum is an invitation to come home to yourself.

LOVE — Vibrations of Love

I am love • I am so loved

Love is where the Be Me Hum journey begins.

Rather than searching outside ourselves for love, we begin by remembering that love is already part of who we are.

As we turn our attention inward, we begin to feel the warmth, openness and love that have always been part of who we are.

Why the heart?

The heart is one of the most universally recognised symbols of love.

In Be Me Hum, it represents both the love within us and the love we share with others.

Our movements around the heart remind us that love doesn’t need to be chased or earned. It begins within us and ripples outward, touching those around us and reaching into the world.

LIGHT — Star of Light

I am light • I am radiant

We all have a light within us. There are times when it shines brightly and times when life seems to dim it.

But that light never really disappears.

Even when we lose sight of our own radiance, it hasn’t gone anywhere. Sometimes all it takes is a moment of stillness to remember it’s there.

Why the star?

A star shines from its own centre. It doesn’t ask permission to shine, and it doesn’t need another light to illuminate it.

The star reminds us that we, too, have our own light.

As we create the shape of the star with our bodies, we imagine that light radiating from within us, shining outward into the world.

MAGIC — Sparkles of Magic

I am magic • I am infinite

Magic invites us to rediscover the wonder of life. To become curious again, to open ourselves to new possibilities and to remember that there is so much more to life than what we can see, measure or explain.

Why the sparkles?

Sparkles are little flashes of light that appear unexpectedly, catching our attention and reminding us of the beauty and wonder all around us.

They represent those moments when something within us opens and we begin to see possibilities we hadn’t noticed before.

As we create crosses through movement, we bring the sparkle to life, exploring the magic and infinite possibilities within us.

MIRACLES — Orbs of Miracles

I am a miracle • I am eternal

Miracles are all around us, often hidden within the ordinary moments of everyday life.

Our breath, our bodies, the people we love, the beauty of nature and the simple fact that we are here at all.

When we begin to look at life with a sense of wonder, we realise just how extraordinary the ordinary can be.

And perhaps one of the greatest miracles is remembering that we, too, are a miracle.

Why the orbs?

The two overlapping circles represent the infinite and eternal nature of life.

A circle has no beginning and no end. It reminds us of the endless possibilities within us and the beautiful connection between all things.

As we create these flowing circles with our bodies, we experience a sense of expansion, connection and the wonder of being alive.

POWER — Rays of Power

I am powerful • I am creative

True power isn’t about having power over others. It’s about recognising the power within ourselves.

It’s the freedom to make our own choices, express who we are and create the life we want to live.

That power has always been part of us. Sometimes we simply need to remember it’s there.

There is something wonderful about recognising our own ability to create, to make choices and to express ourselves freely.

Why the rays?

Like the rays of the sun, our power begins within us and radiates outward.

The rays remind us that true power doesn’t need to be forced or proven. It comes naturally from being who we are.

The expansive movements of Rays of Power allow us to experience that energy flowing outward, expressing our freedom and creativity.

PEACE — Pyramids of Peace

I am peace • I am present

Peace doesn’t mean that everything around us has to be quiet or that life has to be free from challenges.

There is a place of peace within each of us that we can return to, no matter what is happening around us.

Sometimes, simply slowing down and bringing our attention to the present moment is enough to help us find that quiet place again.

Peace isn’t something we have to search for. It’s already within us.

Why the pyramid?

The pyramid has a strong, grounded base and rises to a single point. It represents stability, stillness and balance.

As we create the shape of the triangle with our bodies, we experience that feeling of being firmly grounded while opening ourselves to the spaciousness above.

The pyramid reminds us that even when life around us is constantly changing, we can find stillness within ourselves.

ALIGNMENT — Lines of Alignment

I am aligned • I am centred

Alignment is about feeling connected to ourselves. When our body, breath, thoughts and feelings begin to work together, we experience a wonderful sense of balance and harmony.

There are times in life when we feel pulled in different directions, when we lose touch with that quiet place within us.

But we don’t need to change who we are or become someone different. We simply need to find our way back to ourselves.

Why the lines?

Two simple, parallel lines represent balance, harmony and alignment.

They remind us of what happens when the different parts of ourselves begin to work together rather than pulling in different directions.

The movements of Lines of Alignment invite us to find our centre, creating balance and a sense of harmony throughout our bodies.

ABUNDANCE — Infinity of Abundance

I am abundant • I am worthy

Abundance is so much more than money or material possessions.

It’s the love we share, the beauty of nature, the people in our lives, our creativity, our experiences and the endless possibilities available to us.

Sometimes we’re so busy looking for what we don’t have that we forget to appreciate what is already here.

And when we begin to appreciate the richness already in our lives, we become more open to giving, receiving and welcoming all that life has to offer.

Why infinity?

The infinity symbol has no beginning and no end. Its beautiful, flowing shape represents the endless possibilities of life and the continuous flow of giving and receiving.

As we trace the shape of infinity with our bodies, we experience that flow for ourselves.

We open our hearts to receiving, just as freely as we give, recognising that abundance isn’t something we have to chase. It’s something we can recognise and welcome into our lives.

WISDOM — Seeds of Wisdom

I am wise • I am intuitive

Wisdom isn’t always something we learn from books or other people.

Sometimes, our greatest wisdom comes from simply listening to ourselves.

Beneath all the outside voices, expectations and distractions, there is a quiet knowing within us.

And when we allow ourselves to become still enough to listen, we may discover that the answers we’ve been searching for have been there all along.

Why the seed?

A tiny seed holds within it everything it needs to become the plant it is meant to be.

It doesn’t need to be told how to grow or what to become. Given the right conditions, it naturally begins to unfold.

The seed reminds us that we, too, have a wisdom within us that doesn’t need to be taught or created.

As we explore the movements of Seeds of Wisdom, we imagine ourselves as a seed, growing and blossoming, trusting the quiet wisdom that guides us from within.

WHOLENESS — Embracing Wholeness

I am whole • I am complete

So often in life, we feel there’s something about ourselves we need to change, improve or hide before we can truly accept who we are.

But what if we could simply embrace ourselves, just as we are?

Every part of us. Our strengths, our vulnerabilities, our experiences and everything that makes us who we are.

Embracing Wholeness is an invitation to stop trying to become someone different and begin welcoming all of ourselves.

To remember that nothing is missing, nothing needs fixing and nothing needs proving.

Why the circle?

The circle is a beautiful symbol of wholeness. It has no beginning and no end. Nothing is missing and nothing needs to be added.

As we create circles through movement, we gather ourselves in, open our arms, embrace ourselves and celebrate every part of who we are.

The circle reminds us that we don’t have to become whole. We already are.

STRENGTH — Squares of Strength

I am strong • I am resilient

Strength isn’t always about being powerful or pushing through challenges.

Sometimes strength is quiet. It’s having the courage to begin again, knowing when to rest, asking for help or simply allowing ourselves to be where we are.

Life can challenge us in ways we never expect, but those experiences can also reveal a strength we didn’t realise we had.

And being strong doesn’t mean we never feel vulnerable. It means we can embrace our vulnerability and still find the courage to keep going.

Why the square?

The square represents stability, balance and a strong foundation.

Its four equal sides give it a sense of steadiness and support, reminding us that true strength comes in many forms.

As we create squares with our bodies, we experience that feeling of being grounded, supported and steady.

The square reminds us that resilience doesn’t mean we are never shaken. It means we can find our strength again, even after life’s most difficult moments.

SOURCE — Symbols of Source

I am Source • I am all that is

Source brings our Be Me Hum journey full circle.

Throughout the year, we’ve explored Love, Light, Magic, Miracles, Power, Peace, Alignment, Abundance, Wisdom, Wholeness and Strength.

Each one a beautiful part of who we are.

Now we bring them all together, remembering that we are not separate from one another or from the world around us.

It’s a beautiful reminder of our connection to ourselves, to one another and to something greater, whatever that may mean to each of us.

Why are the symbols combined?

The square, circle, triangle and seed come together to create one beautiful symbol, representing the many qualities that make us whole.

Each shape is different, yet together they create something complete.

As we move through these shapes, we celebrate everything we’ve explored throughout the year and the connection that brings it all together.

And perhaps that’s the greatest gift of this journey, remembering that everything we’ve been searching for has been within us all along.

Book a Class

Before You Come

Everything you might wonder

Some answers to questions you might have before coming along.

What exactly is Be Me Hum?

Is it yoga? Is it dancing? Is it Qigong?

It’s a little like all of them, but it’s none of them.

Be Me Hum brings together movement, breath, humming, chanting, affirmations and meditation, all experienced in your own way.

There are no steps to perfect and no expectations to meet. It’s simply an opportunity to turn your attention inward, spend time with yourself and remember who you are.

Why is it called Be Me Hum?

Be Me is an invitation to simply be yourself.

Hum is the gentle vibration of your own voice, helping you move away from the busy thinking mind and reconnect with yourself.

Together, they capture the heart of the practice, giving yourself permission to simply be you.

What happens during a class?

Each class brings together breath, flowing movement, humming, chanting, affirmations, music and meditation.

Every month we explore a different quality, such as love, peace, wisdom or strength, with its own symbol, movements and affirmations.

Some movements are lively and fun, others are slow and gentle. There are also moments of stillness.

Everything is an invitation, and you’re always encouraged to experience the class in your own way.

Why do we close our eyes?

Closing our eyes helps us turn our attention inward.

When we’re not looking around the room, we’re less likely to compare ourselves with others or wonder whether we’re doing something correctly.

Instead, we can listen to our bodies, follow our own rhythm and experience the practice in our own way.

And of course, you’re always welcome to open your eyes whenever you wish.

Why do we hum?

Humming is a very special part of Be Me Hum.

The gentle vibration of your own voice, together with a long, slow exhale, can be wonderfully calming.

You don’t need to sing, remember words or have a beautiful voice. You simply hum.

It’s one of the simplest ways to bring your attention out of your busy mind and back to yourself.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all.

You don’t need any experience with yoga, meditation, breathing exercises or chanting.

Be Me Hum is for everyone, whether you’ve done something like this before or you’re trying it for the very first time.

Do I need to be flexible or fit?

No.

You don’t need to be particularly flexible, strong or fit.

All movements can be adapted to suit your body, and you’re always encouraged to listen to what feels right for you.

You can slow down, take a break or simply rest whenever you need to.

There’s nothing to keep up with and nothing to prove.

Do I have to hum or chant?

Not at all.

You’re welcome to join in, listen quietly or simply enjoy the experience.

There’s never any pressure to do anything you’re not comfortable with.

What should I wear?

Just wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely.

There’s no special clothing required, and you don’t need shoes during the class.

What should I bring?

You don’t need to bring anything. Mats and cushions are provided, so everything you need will be waiting for you.

You might like to bring a water bottle and, during the cooler months, a warm blanket for meditation.

How much is a class?

A casual class is $25, so you’re very welcome to come along and try one.

There are also class passes available if you’d like to come regularly, including a 10-class pass for $200, which works out to $20 per class.

There are no memberships or long-term commitments. Just choose what suits you.

Where are classes held?

Classes run on Wednesdays, 6.30 – 7.45pm, and Thursdays, 9.45 – 11.00am.

Be Me Hum classes are held in Saratoga, on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW.

You’ll receive all the details when you book.

I Am That I Am

Chanting Nights

An Evening of Sound, Stillness and Remembering

I Am That I Am is a beautiful evening of breath, movement, chanting and stillness.

A chance to soften, let go and remember who you are.

Event Details

Second Tuesday of each month

6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Saratoga, Central Coast NSW

Complimentary  •  Invitation Only

No chanting experience is needed.
Just come as you are.

The Power of Chanting

Chanting is a simple yet powerful way to quieten the mind and bring us into a deeper sense of presence.

We begin the evening with humming, breathing and gentle movement, allowing everyone to settle before moving into our chants.

Before each chant, there is a short spoken invocation that begins with:

Nothing is missing.

Nothing needs fixing.

Nothing needs proving.

And ends with:

I remember who I am.

I am home.

These words are a reminder that we don’t need to become anything or change who we are. Everything we’re looking for is already within us.

We then move into our chants, woven around the words I Am That I Am, and qualities such as love, light, magic, miracles, peace and wisdom.

As we repeat these words, they become gentle reminders of who we already are.

You don’t need to know the chants or have any experience. Just allow yourself to be part of the sound, the vibration and the stillness.

Nothing to achieve.

Just chant… and come home.

How the invitation works

I Am That I Am Chanting Nights are intimate gatherings, with places offered by invitation.

Women who have attended a Be Me Hum class during the preceding month receive the first invitations and are welcome to bring a friend.

Any remaining places are then offered to the wider Be Me Hum Hive community.

Invitations are sent one week before each Chanting Night, with all the details you need.
